Our Approach to Children’s Dental Care
We have embraced a three-prong philosophy in order to best serve our patient family:
- We want kids to have a positive experience and look forward to going to the dentist.
- We want children’s oral health to be a team process, in which children enjoy the experience and parents are an active part of the oral health team.
- We believe in establishing a dental home at an early age to promote a preventive approach to oral health.
Combining these philosophies promotes a healthy, positive foundation for a lifetime of good dental health and wellness!
Our Office
It’s not unusual to find Dr. Matt, Dr. Denise or one of our team members crouched on the floor, talking and laughing with a little one who’s feeling a bit anxious. While we are dedicated professionals, we are also skilled at connecting with children, always finding a way to interact with them in a non-threatening and supportive manner.
We have designed our dental office as a kid-friendly space, filled with bright colors, toys, and activities that engage and educate, both in our reception area and the clinic. In fact, we’ve installed TVs above the treatment chairs, so children can watch their favorite shows while here!
As a family-oriented practice, Dr. Matt, Dr. Denise and our team want to involve parents in all aspects of their child’s care. That includes welcoming parents to accompany their youngster into the treatment area, to provide support to their little one and to allow for open communication between the family and our team.
